Is your packaging sustainable?

At Millstone, we are committed to minimising the impact that our products have on the environment. We are working towards reducing our carbon footprint and sourcing locally where possible and have made changes to our cardboard transit packaging to be 100% recyclable, using biodegradable and sustainably sourced board.

Product Questions

Where can I find the list of ingredients for a specific product?

Our recipes are trade secrets! We avoid disclosing our recipes to the public to to avoid any copyright or disclosure. However, for any dietary requirement, please leave your allergy on the note section when placing your order or in the dietary requirement part of the enquiry form, and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Where are your products made?

All our product is sourced from Australia or imported from France when not available in the country. We bake everything from raw ingredients to ensure the best expression of our final product. All our items are made in-house at Millstone.

Can I customise my order?

Yes! You may add "extra's" to your order (macarons, embossed cookies, plaques and toppers). If you'd like something specific that you can't see on our site, please contact us - we'd love to make it happen for you!

Are your products gluten free?

Some of our products are Gluten free. Please select the gluten free category under the cake and pastry category or look for the Gluten free icon (GF) under the product description in the product page.

Are your products vegan?

Some of our products are Vegan. Please select the Vegan category under the cake and pastry category or Look for the Vegan icon (V)under the product description in the product page.

What size cake do i need for my event?

Our layer cakes range from 5 to 9 inches in diameter. Please note that the size you require may depend on whether you wish to serve dessert or afternoon tea portions to your guests. 

5 inches: 12.7cm 

7 Inches: 17.78 cm

9 Inches: 22.86 cm

Each one of our delicious creations is layered with 3 layers of butter cake, which are then  sandwiched with luscious buttercream and a variety of different fillings.

If you require your cake to feed upwards of 30 people, please get in contact with us directly via email - hello@millstonepatisserie.com - to discuss your options. 

Our petits gâteaux which are approximately 80mm in diameter can be purchased individually, or per box of 6 items via our website.

Our Savoury and sweet canapes from our catering menu, are generally around 4.5cm diameter. 

How should I cut my cake?

All our cakes can be cut by the slices which we recommend for most of our cakes. 

When it comes to to layer cake (tall cake) we are recommending  to cut the cake as coffee portion - check out our cake product pages for the illustration.

What are coffee and dessert portions and what is the difference in size?

Coffee portions are highly recommended for weddings where separate desserts are also being served. -Dessert portions are recommended where the wedding cake is the only dessert being served. Coffee portions: 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 10cmDessert Portions: 2.5cm x 5cm x 10cm

Can you acommodate my dietary requirements?

We are trying our best to offer alternative dietary options on all our menu items. 

Most of our cakes can be made gluten free where possible. Since we do use a lot of butter and dairy in our patisserie, we offer only 1 vegan option on our website. 

For all nut allergies, Millstone does offer a selection of cakes that are nut free - however due to nuts being used in our kitchen, we cannot cater for anaphylactics. 

On the footer page of all our menus you will find for your reference the following glossary which explains the dietary details for all of our products.

Orders

How can I place an order?

Cake orders: A large selection of cakes are displayed on our website for you to order directly. We require 3 days (72hrs) notice for all orders. All orders placed outside of this time frame, will be cancelled. 

Please get in contact with us if an order is urgent and will endeavour to help you. 

Catering orders: We offer a selection of customised boxes for you to order directly from our website. These boxes come in a minimum of 12 items. 

If you require a customised quote or wish to order from our larger catering menu, please complete a form on our catering page. We will endeavour to contact you within 1-2 business days.

Can I cancel or amend my order after purchase?

We require three days (72hrs) notice for all orders and we reserve the right to cancel an order if we are unable to complete it within this time.

If we need to cancel the order, there will be a processing fee incurred as per our return policy.

To update or amend your order, please contact us via hello@millstonepatisserie.com at least 72 hours prior to your collection/delivery date.

Cake orders are unable to be amended less than 72 hours prior to your selected date. 

Please note payment processing fees are incorporated into your order total. Should you wish to cancel an order please refer to our return policy regarding processing fees.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Due to data protection laws, we are unable to process orders over the phone.

What is the latest time I can order a cake?

We are requiring three-day notice. Please send us an email before ordering your cake if you are not in the window required. Please note that if you place an order out of the timeframe and we are not able to make it a bank fee will apply on your refund.

Why did I receive an email saying my order has been fulfilled?

As we receive your order, we note them in our own system, emailing them as “fulfilled” when they are received. Do not worry, your order will be dispatched on the date you have ordered it. Once your order is processed you will receive a shipping confirmation email and your tracking will update shortly thereafter. However, due to a technical error your order status may stay the same - 'unfulfilled'.

When will my order be delivered?

Our first driver leaves Millstone by 10am. Your order will arrive at the address provided between 11.30 and 3pm. Please note we cannot give you an exact time of delivery. 

We will send you a text message when your order is about to arrive.

What is the earliest time my cake can be ready?

Cake orders can be collected from our local shop in Malvern between 9.30am and 3pm.  For earlier collection enquiries please email hello@millstonepatisserie.com

Can I change my collection/ delivery date?

Your collection/delivery date and time can be changed if 72 hour notice is given.

When can I collect my order?

Pickup time starts from 9.30am, 7 days a week. In the shipping section when ordering a product, you will be able to select the time which suits you best to pick up or have your order delivered. 

Collection of orders will be from our local shop in Malvern, 10A Claremont avenue. Please bring your order number with you when collecting your order.

When can I collect or have my items delivered?

Pickup time start from 9 am, 7 days a week. In the shipping section when ordering a product, you will be able to select the time which suits you best to pick up or have your order deliver.

How much is the delivery fee?

All deliveries within 10km from Millstone incur a fee of $35.

For all deliveries over 10km, you will need to contact us via email to confirm whether delivery is possible.
